Making waves

While their husbands are clashing helmets on the turf, the Texans' wives have been quite active themselves, taking part in numerous projects throughout the Houston community.

One of their most rewarding endeavors has been their "Adopt-A-Floor" program at Texas Children's Hospital. Since mid-season, a large group of player's wives have spent time each month with a floor of children being treated for gastrointestinal, kidney and liver illnesses.

The women and children decorated the floor for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and spring and summer months. Along with their husbands, they also traveled to the floor to celebrate Mother's Day with the mother's of the patients and Father's Day with the dads.

Just recently, players and their wives spent the evening signing autographs and visiting with the children and will continue the program into next season.
