The Houston Texans, Reliant Energy and Rebuilding Together Houston joined forces Saturday to make home repairs and energy efficiency home improvements to a house for a low-income Houston family for the annual Reliant Energy Work Day.

Volunteers from each of the organizations joined Texans players Demarcus Faggins, Dexter McCleon, Vonta Leach, C.C. Brown, Jacoby Jones and Zach Diles to install AC window units, ceiling fans, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), insulation around water heaters, repair holes and cracks in dry wall, install window screens and caulk where needed.

Reliant energy also conducted a 30-minute workout to help homeowners in the neighborhood understand low-cost and no-cost improvements they can make to their homes to help lower their energy bills.
