The Texans released their inactives list prior to Monday's Week 2 matchup at home against the Buccaneers.

- Braxton Berrios (WR No. 17)
- Graham Mertz (QB No. 18)
- Dameon Pierce (RB No. 31)
- Jake Andrews (C No. 60)
- Tommy Togiai (DT No. 72)
Notes
The Texans will be without Kirk and Berrios for the second consecutive game to start the season. Berrios will be missed in the return game while Kirk can be a potent weapon in the slot once he returns to health. Both will have to wait at least one more week to make their Texans debuts, and at least two weeks before they get to feature in front of the H-Town faithful.
Mertz remains inactive with C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills ahead of him at the QB position on the depth chart.
A week ago, British Brooks was inactive but this time out Dameon Pierce will sit with the Texans deep at the RB position.
C Jake Andrews picked up an injury against the Rams in Week 1 and was not expected to play today. But while he moves to the inactives list, Ed Ingram is not listed after being inactive in Week 1.
Togiai is listed as inactive for the second week in a row.
