Texans know most of 2021 regular season opponents

Looking ahead to the 2021 regular season, even though we've yet to kick of the 2020 campaign, the Texans know who and where they'll play 14 of their 16 opponents that year.

Like they do every season, Houston will face their AFC South rivals Indianapolis, Jacksonville and Tennessee at NRG Stadium and on the road.

The Texans also play the AFC East and the NFC West, so that means home contests against the Patriots, Jets, Rams and Seahawks, with roadies at Buffalo, Miami, Arizona and San Francisco.

That leaves just two remaining games in the schedule. Houston will host the AFC West squad that finishes in the same place in their own division as the Texans do in the AFC South. So if Houston wins the division for the seventh time since 2011, they'll face the AFC West champion inside NRG Stadium. If the Texans finish second in the AFC South, they'll get the AFC West's second place team at home.

The same situation applies to the Texans and the AFC North, so depending on where they finish in the AFC South, they'll go on the road to face their AFC North counterpart.

The dates and times for the 2021 NFL regular season schedule will be released next April or May.
