Texans ranked on Forbes 50 Most Valuable Teams

Houston Texans ranked in at No. 20 on the 2017 Forbes 50 Most Valuable Teams list, valued at $2.6 billion. The Texans were ninth among NFL teams, behind the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets, Chicago Bears. The Cowboys topped the list at No. 1 for the second-straight year, valued at $4.2 billion.

The Texans incresed in value by 4 percent this year, but dropped from their No. 14 spot in 2016. The overall value of teams on the list increased with the cutoff to qualify up by 18 percent, which could be a contributing factor. According to Forbes, 36 franchises worth at least $1 billion did not make the Top 50 this year.

The NFL was represented more than any other sport with 29 of 32 clubs ranked on this year's list. To see the full list, click here.
