Education

The Texans and our partners have worked together to create free educational resources and programs to help students across the Houston area. These programs utilize football to bring a little extra fun to classrooms across the city and are available at no cost to teachers and parents in Houston and beyond and can be done in the classroom or at home.

TORO Takes the Bull Out of Bullying Presented by NOV

October is National Bully Prevention Month, which inspired a month-long campaign on the Texans and TORO's social media channels to educate on this topic. The campaign started with the launch of a virtual version of TORO's educational school assembly, TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying, which was viewed by students all over Texas. During the show, RB David Johnson and Cheerleader Jaclyn taught students how to identify and deal with bullying. Throughout the rest of the campaign, TORO shared infographics, PSA videos and activities. This program was developed in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League. The campaign reached over 250,000 people in October. The Texans and NOV also donated $2,500 to the Sam Houston Area Council Scout Reach program and awarded 1,000 patches to Boy Scouts across Houston for completing the TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying virtual program.
