The Texans and Amegy Bank open 2022 Small Business Boost nominations

The Houston Texans and Amegy Bank are teaming up for the third year in a row to support local businesses through the Small Business Boost program. The Texans and Amegy Bank invite Texans fans to nominate their favorite local, small businesses which are enduring challenges presented by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nominations opened this week and will run through the end of October 2022. Winners will be chosen on a rolling basis.

Since the Small Business Boost program's inception in 2020, a total of $40,000 in grants have been awarded based on nominations from members of the community. In 2021, the winners included Mo Better Brews/Houston Sauce Co., Airflow A/C and Heating, David Alcorta Catering LLC, Bellaire Shoe Hospital, Dumpling Haus, Cochinita & Co., Sweets by Belen and The Artz.

This year, five small businesses will be chosen to receive:

  • A $5,000 grant
  • Marketing and promotional support from the Texans including on HoustonTexans.com and social media channels
  • Amegy Bank event opportunities
  • Small Business Boost recipient plaque

The Texans and Amegy Bank honored the owners of Mo Better Brews/Houston Sauce Co, husband-and-wife team, Chef Courtney & Chasitie Lindsay. Mo Better Brews/Houston Sauce Co were named the December winner of the Houston Texans Small Business Boost presented by Amegy Bank, and received a $2,500 grant, promotional support and plaque.ย Learn more about the Small Business Boost here.
