The NFL schedule release will happen any day now and it's always a glorious and fun day. But, this year will be even more so with the ascent of the Texans over the past 18 months or so. As such, I'm going to make ONE full schedule prediction that won't be anywhere close to the real thing, but it's fun to play around with before the real one comes out.
So, here it is…my nowhere-close-to-the-real-thing schedule release prediction.
Week 1 - September 9th - Monday Night 7:30 PM CST - at New York Jets
Week 2 - September 15th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - Tennessee Titans
Week 3 - September 22nd - Sunday 12 Noon CST - at New England Patriots
Week 4 - September 29th - Sunday Night 7:30 PM CST - at Kansas City Chiefs
Week 5 - October 6th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 6 - October 13th - Sunday 3:25 PM CST - at Green Bay Packers
Week 7 - October 20th - Sunday 12 PM CST - Baltimore Ravens
Week 8 - October 27th - Sunday 3:25 CST - Miami Dolphins
Week 9 - BYE WEEK
Week 10 - November 10th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - at Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 11 - November 17th - Sunday Night 7:30 PM CST - Buffalo Bills
Week 12 - November 24th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - Chicago Bears
Week 13 - November 28th - Thursday 3:25 PM CST - at Dallas Cowboys
Week 14 - December 8th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - at Tennessee Titans
Week 15 - December 15th - Monday Night 7:30 PM CST - Detroit Lions
Week 16 - December 22nd - Sunday 12 Noon CST - at Indianapolis Colts
Week 17 - December 28th - Saturday 3:25 PM - at Minnesota Vikings
Week 18 - January 5th - Sunday 12 Noon CST - Indianapolis Colts
So, that's four Primetime games - a Monday night to open the season at the Jets, a Sunday Night game at Arrowhead against the Chiefs, a Sunday Night game at home against the Bills (the first true SNF home regular season game since 2019) and a Monday night game at home against the Lions. Throw in a Thanksgiving trip to Dallas and that's five on the books. Then, the Texans get one of those Saturday afternoon games at Minnesota in late December.
THAT'S MY PREDICTION FOR THE 2024 SEASON! And, it'll happen just like that!
