The Texans released their inactives list prior to Sunday's Week 1 matchup in Los Angeles against the Rams.
Texans Inactives
- Christian Kirk (WR No. 13)
- Braxton Berrios (WR No. 17)
- Graham Mertz (QB No. 18)
- British Brooks (RB No. 44)
- Ed Ingram (G No. 69)
- Tommy Togiai (DT No. 72)
Notes
Both Kirk and Berrios were on the injury report during the week as they fought off hamstring injuries. Neither practiced during the week so their inclusion on the inactives list was not a surprise.
Mertz, a rookie QB out of Florida, was impressive in preseason but will start the year inactive with C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills entrenched as the starter and backup respectively.
Ingram was slated to be a starting guard but picked up an abdominal injury and was limited during the past week. He was questionable on the injury report coming into the game.
Togiai practiced this week but will be inactive for this game with the team deep with options across the defensive line.
