Texans sign Moreland

* HOUSTON -* The Houston Texans have signed veteran CB Earthwind Moreland, it was announced today.

Moreland (5-10, 182) is a fourth-year pro who spent part of the 2004 season with the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. He played in nine games, starting two. He finished that season with 14 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Moreland, who attended Georgia Southern, has appeared in 12 career games.
