Carlos Hyde scores after defense picks off Mahomes

The Houston Texans defense came up with a big play in the endzone of Sunday's game at Kansas City.

Instead of throwing his third touchdown of the day, quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw his first interception of the season. Safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. picked off Mahomes in the endzone for a touchback. Watson led the offense down the field, converting six first downs. On fourth-and-1, Hopkins caught a 7-yard pass for a big first down to extend the drive. After a short pass to Duke Johnson for a 9-yard gain, Watson handed off to Hyde for a two-yard touchdown run.

The Texans trailed 17-16 after the extra point attempt to cap off a 12-play, 80-yard drive with 3:06 left in the second quarter.
