The Harris 100, John Harris' annual college football player ranking, calls out a lot of positives about Jayden Higgins, the Houston Texans' first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Picked No. 34, Higgins is tall, strong, and smart.
"For a big guy he's a precise route runner," Harris writes. "Excellent hands, doesn't body catch, even in traffic. Played as a big slot a bunch in Iowa State's offense. Great tempo on his routes and outstanding use of hesitation, push offs, little things at the top of routes to get open. Long strider speed, needs to build up to get to full speed - that's the only true knock on him, but dude can still fly."
