Interliga fan information

HOUSTON – With a large crowd expected at the Copa Libertadores soccer matches on Friday, January 9 and Sunday, January 11, information needs to be circulated regarding parking, entrance procedures and tickets.

Tickets for these matches, part of the Texas International Soccer Series presented by Budweiser, are on sale and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster Outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling Ticketmaster at (713) 629-3700. Ticket prices are $20, $25, $30 and $40 per day. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets for as low as $16. Fans can purchase group tickets by calling 1-866-GO-TEXANS. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets in a special family section located in the north end of Reliant Stadium. This family section will be located adjacent to a fun, interactive area known as the SportsZone. Seats in this area are $20 and are available for group purchase (20 or more) for $16. All ticket prices will increase by $5 on the day of the event.

The Houston Texans will debut the Houston Texans SportZone during this tournament. The Houston Texans SportZone will be located in the north end of the main concourse of Reliant Stadium. This exciting, interactive fan area is adjacent to the Reliant Stadium family section and will feature five interactive games, including: two soccer shoot off games, a soccer dribbling and passing game, a football toss game and a bungee run game. The Houston Texans SportZone was created by the Houston Texans in consultation with South Texas Youth Soccer Association, which is an associate sponsor of the Texas International Soccer Series. Admission to the Houston Texans Sport Zone and use of the interactive games is free to fans attending the Interliga matches on January 9 and 11.

Fans should arrive at the stadium as early as possible. The admission gates will open one and one half hour before the time of the kickoff. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Sunday the gates will open at 11:30 a.m. Parking for this event will cost $7.

         **Prohibited:**
         bags over 11"x14", briefcases, cans, bottles, coolers,
         outside food or beverages, strollers, poles, weapons, compressed air
         or mechanical noise makers, and other items deemed to be safety
         hazards.  All bags will
         be searched.
