The FIFA World Cup is wrapping up, but that doesn't mean international soccer is going away for Houston.

Lone Star Sports & Entertainment, the Houston Dynamo and Relevent Sports held a news conference on Friday to discuss an upcoming match between European powerhouse AC Milan and famed Mexican side Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas). The sides will meet for the first time in history on Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. at NRG Stadium.

Texans/LSSE president Jamey Rootes, Relevent Sports CEO Charlie Stillitano, Houston Dynamo president Chris Canetti and former Chivas player Paco Palencia fielded questions from media members and expressed their excitement for the international showdown. Though it is an exhibition meeting, Stillitano ensured that the faceoff will be far from a laid-back affair.

"It won't be a friendly; it'll be an exciting game and a game filled with passion for the fans."

Tickets for the match went on sale to the general public on Friday, July 11 at 11 a.m. on www.Ticketmaster.com, by phone (1-800-745-3000) and at all Houston-area Ticketmaster locations, including Fiesta Supermarkets.
