HOUSTON --The Robert and Janice McNair Foundation garnered the Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation Award at the National Philanthropy Day 2003 Awards Luncheon.
Joanie Haley, the foundation's executive director, accepted the award on behalf of the McNairs at the Hotel Intercontinental in Houston's Galleria area.
Each
year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Houston
Chapter honors individuals and groups that, through their hard work
and dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, the community and the
world. Recipients of the awards are nominated by the Association of
Fundraising Professional members, nonprofit organizations and others
in the community for demonstrating outstanding commitment and
leadership.
