Nimitz' Randy Rowe Named Texans Coach of the Week

HOUSTON- This week's Houston Texans Coach of the Week Award goes to Head Coach Randy Rowe of Nimitz High School. Coach Row's Cougars narrowly defeated MacArthur 31-28, earning a birth in the Division II, Region 3 playoffs. Nimitz will take on Baytown Lee in the first round of playoff action on Saturday, November 15 at Tully Stadium.

Jose Guerra's 33-yard field goal with 11 seconds left in the game sealed the win for the Cougars. Runningback Robert Pullings paved the way to victory with 163 yards on 26 carries and four touchdowns.

Nimitz High School will receive a $1,000 grant in Coach Rowe's name for winning the Coach of the Week Award. For his accomplishment, Coach Rowe will be recognized by Texans Head Coach Dom Capers on his radio show, on HoustonTexans.com and NFLHS.com, on the JumboTron at Reliant Stadium, and at a pre-game on-field ceremony at the Texans vs. Titans game on December 21.
