Houston Texans tackle Ephraim Salaam and guard Chester Pitts will make an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday, Feb. 7 locally on KPRC-TV at Noon.
The pair starred in a commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLII on Sunday, Feb. 3. The spot was recently named as the most liked Ad based on IAG likeability scores. The findings were published in Advertising Age. The top ads ranking can be found in AdAge and are available on www.AdAge.com.
Salaam was one of 240 players from around the league who participated in the NFL's Super Ad campaign which gave players an opportunity to tell their story about making it to the NFL. The videos were posted online and fans were able to vote for their favorite stories at NFL.com. Over 500,000 fans voted with Salaam's story coming out on top.
The commercial tells how Salaam, while at San Diego State University, convinced Pitts to try out for the Aztecs football team. Pitts never played football before and with Salaam's encouragement, walked onto the team.
