Texans and McNair Group selected as one of Houston's top workplaces

Houston, Texas – Nov. 11, 2013 – The Houston Texans and affiliated McNair Group have been selected as one of the Houston Chronicle Top Workplaces. The Texans ranked eighth out of 98 businesses in the midsize category with 150-499 employees in the region. The publication has honored top workplaces in the Houston area for four years.

The Texans and The McNair Group strive to hire employees and players that are a good fit in representing the organization, the Houston community and the National Football League by focusing their recruiting efforts on individuals with high character, a strong work ethic and a fierce competitive spirit.

The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 37 major publishing partners and recognizes a list of 150 National Top Workplaces. Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and one in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what is on the minds of their employees.

The Texans, whose mission is to create and maintain the most respected and most valuable professional sports franchise in the world have three primary objectives: win championships, create memorable experiences for their fans and partners and do great things in the Houston community.

"It is a great honor to be recognized as one of Houston's top places to work in back-to-back years," Houston Texans President Jamey Rootes said. "Fostering a positive working environment is something that is very important to us as an organization.  The talented people who work here make it a special place and their hard work on game day and throughout the year creates memories for our fans and makes Houston a better place for all of us.  Making the Texans a great place to work is an essential part of our ongoing efforts to deliver excellence both on and off the field."
