Texans ink two free agents

HOUSTON-- The Texans signed two free agents Monday, inking center Luke Butkus and linebacker Antonio Rodriguez.

Butkus spent the 2002 season on San Diego's practice squad after starting three seasons at Illinois, where his uncle, Dick Butkus, starred as a linebacker. Rodriguez spent training camp with the Texans last season and just completed the 2004 NFL Europe season with Amsterdam.

Butkus and Rodriguez will be on the field today as the Texans begin their final mini-camp.
