The Houston Texans have placed linebacker Shawn Barber on the reserve/injured list with a neck injury, signed tackle Brandon Frye to the active roster and signed wide receiver Harry Williams to the practice squad.

Frye (6-4, 302) was selected by the Texans in the fifth round (163rd overall) from Virginia Tech in the 2007 draft. He suffered an ankle injury during training camp that forced him to miss the first three preseason games. He was signed to the Texans practice squad on Sept. 3.

Barber (6-2, 240) signed with the Texans as an unrestricted free agent during the 2007 offseason. He suffered a neck injury against the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 21.

Williams was waived from the Texans active roster on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
