Texans place Mack on injured reserve

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans announced today that they have placed RB Stacey Mack on the Reserve/Injured list with a left toe sprain.

Mack (6-1, 241) has started 18 of 58 games played. He has 465 career rushing attempts for 1,751 yards and 23 touchdowns and has also recorded 43 career receptions for 299 yards and one touchdown in four seasons with the Jaguars (1999-2002) and one season with the Texans (2003). Mack entered the league as the only undrafted rookie to make Jacksonville's opening day roster in 1999. After two years at Southwest Mississippi College, Mack transferred to Temple. As a senior in 1998, he became the first running back in school history to earn All-Big East honors. As an All-American and a two-time All-State selection at Boone (FL) High School, Mack rushed for 4,093 yards and 37 touchdowns.
