Texans re-sign Murphy

HOUSTON-- The Texans re-signed exclusive rights free agent tight end Matt Murphy, the team announced Thursday.

Murphy, in his third season out of Maryland, played in 10 games last season. He played his first two seasons in Detroit.

The Texans also inked exclusive rights free agent linebacker D.D. Acholonu, who spent most of the 2004 season on Houston's practice squad.
