Texans release unofficial depth chart versus Atlanta

The Houston Texans (1-2) will try to even their record this weekend when they travel to take on the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons (3-0) at the Georgia Dome. Sunday's kickoff televised on CBS is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Houston will face its third consecutive NFC South opponent this week after competing against the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the previous two games.

Last week, the Texans picked up their first win of the season after defeating the Buccaneers by a 19-9 margin. RB Alfred Blue ran for 139 yards, while WR DeAndre Hopkins recorded 101 receiving yards, marking the first game the team has had a 100-yard rusher and receiver since Oct. 20, 2014 at Pittsburgh. QB Ryan Mallett threw a touchdown in his third consecutive game when he connected with Hopkins in the first quarter.

Defensively, CB Johnathan Joseph tied a single-game career-high with five passes defensed in the contest, which is also the highest game total in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season. The defense continued its strong play on third down, limiting the Buccaneers to 1-of-12 (8%) third down conversions. Houston leads the NFL in in that category, giving up only 21.1 percent in 2015.

Atlanta is coming off its third straight win to open the season, a 39-28 victory over the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. The Falcons have scored over 20 points in each contest this year and rank third in the NFL in total net yards per game (411.7). WR Julio Jones leads the league in receptions (34) and receiving yards (440), while adding four touchdowns on the year. RB Devonta Freeman ranks tied for first in the NFL with four rushing touchdowns in 2015 after scoring three against Dallas last week.

Following the game against the Falcons, the Texans will have a quick turnaround as they host the Indianapolis Colts (1-2) on Thursday Night Football at NRG Stadium. The matchup will mark Houston's first divisional contest of the year, as they try to break a five-game losing streak to the Colts, dating back to 2012.
