Texans sign S Jahleel Addae

The Houston Texans signed free agent S Jahleel Addae. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Addae, 29, spent the last six seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers (2013-18) where he started in 59-of-80 career regular season games, including all 16 games in each of the last two seasons. He has also appeared in four career postseason contests. Addae (5-10, 195) played the most defensive snaps of any Charger over the last two seasons and finished fourth on the team in total tackles in 2018 with 75. He has compiled 356 total tackles (271 solo), 21 passes defensed, two interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), 4.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 16 total special teams tackles in his career. A native of Valrico, Fla., Addae signed as a college free agent with the Chargers following the 2013 NFL Draft out of Central Michigan.
