HOUSTON - The Houston Texans made two roster moves. Houston signed free agent offensive
tackle Marcus Spears and claimed WR Andrae Thurman off waivers from the New York
Giants.
Spears (6-4, 320), an 11-year veteran, spent the past seven years in Kansas City. Spears played in 79 games, starting 18 as a Chief. Spears was drafted by Chicago in the second-round from NW Louisiana St. in 1994. He played in nine games over three years for the Bears.
Thurman (5-11, 192) started his college career at Arizona. As a Wildcat, Thurman amassed 105 catches, 1,530 yards and five touchdowns. Thurman transferred to Southern Oregon for his senior season, catching 55 passes for 845 yards and four touchdowns.
