FC Barcelona Tour

* HOUSTON* – Lone Star Sports and Entertainment, in conjunction with the Houston Dynamo will make an announcement regarding the FC Barcelona On Tour U.S. 2006 at a press conference on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Noon at Reliant Stadium.

Club America will face FC Barcelona, newly-crowned winner of the UEFA Champions League and back-to-back Spanish La Liga champion on Wednesday, August 9 at Reliant Stadium. This match is part of a doubleheader with the MLS Houston Dynamo. The first game will feature two MLS teams, Houston Dynamo vs. L.A. Galaxy, immediately followed by FC Barcelona vs. Club America.

FC Barcelona, coached by Dutch midfield legend Frank Rijkaard and recognized for its spectacular brand of attacking soccer, features some of the world's greatest players, including two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho (Brazil), 18-year-old sensation Lionel Messi (Argentina), and African Player of the Year Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon). Also in the club's ranks are a host of players who represented their countries in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, including Mexico team captain Rafael Marquez, Carles Puyol (Spain), Deco (Portugal) and Mark Van Bommel (Holland).

In attendance at the press conference will be Jamey Rootes, President of Lone Star Sports and Entertainment, and Oliver Luck, President of the Houston Dynamo.

Lunch will be served following the press conference.
