HOUSTON – The Houston Texans 2015 regular season schedule features two primetime games in Weeks 5 and 10. Houston takes on AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Oct. 8 and hits the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 16
as part of ESPN's Monday Night Football.
Bill O'Brien kicks off his second season as Houston Texans head coach with a season-opening matchup at home against Kansas City on Sunday, Sept. 13. It will be the second time the Texans have opened their season vs. the Chiefs, having defeated them 20-3 in the 2007 season opener. The Texans have the longest active winning streak in season openers at five and are 8-5 all-time in the first game of the season.
The Texans play their next three games against the NFC South as they go on the road against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 20, host Tampa Bay on Sept. 27 and visit the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 4.
Houston hosts Indianapolis for the second consecutive season on CBS' Thursday night lineup with a 7:25 p.m. kickoff on Oct. 8. The Texans then visit Florida for their first set of back-to-back road games, visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 18 and the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 25. The Texans meet the Dolphins for the eighth time in franchise history, having won all seven of the previous matchups.
A Nov. 1 home game against the Tennessee Titans precedes the Texans' bye week on Nov. 8. The Texans return back to action on Nov. 16 for a Monday night matchup against the Bengals at 7:30 p.m. The Texans last visiting Cincinnati in 2011, when the Texans scored the game-winning touchdown with two seconds remaining to edge Cincinnati 20-19 and clinch their first AFC South Division title.
Three of the next four games are against the AFC East, beginning by hosting the New York Jets on Nov. 22. The Texans then host the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 29 before traveling to up to take on the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 6. The Texans return home on Dec. 13 to host the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots.
The last three games of the regular season are against AFC South foes, beginning with two road games, at Indianapolis on Dec. 20 and Tennessee on Dec. 27. Houston closes the season on Jan. 3, 2016 at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
