  • Throughout his eight-year career, Mitchell has had stints with the Chicago Bears (2014-15), Dallas Cowboys (2015), Kansas City Chiefs (2016-17) and the Cleveland Browns (2018-20).
  • His nickname is "Money Mitch."
  • Mitchell spent the 2016 training camp with the Houston Texans before joining the Chiefs and appearing in seven games with two starts for the team.
  • In 2017, Mitchell was the only player in the NFL with at least eight total tackles, two interceptions and four passes defensed in a single game on the seasons when he did so in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
  • Mitchell recorded a single-game career-high 12 total tackles last season against the Dallas Cowboys.
  • He played three seasons (2011-13) at the University of Oregon after a redshirt freshman year in 2010. In 2011 as a freshman, he saw action in 14 games with 12 starts and recorded a team-high 10 pass breakups and ranked third among defensive backs with 45 tackles.
  • Mitchell was teammates with Texans tight end Pharaoh Brown from 2012-13 at Oregon and the two were reunited again in Cleveland (2018-20) during their stints with the Browns.
  • Mitchell attended Burbank High School where he earned Metro League Offensive MVP honors in 2009 and was named a first-team All-City cornerback after notching six interceptions, a forced fumble and one blocked field goal. He was also named first-team All-Metro league in basketball as a sophomore and junior.
  • In 2020, Mitchell started all 16 regular season games and both postseason contests at cornerback for the Browns. He notched single-season career highs in total tackles (65) solo tackles (54) and forced fumbles (three). Mitchell also added two tackles for loss and 13 passes defensed.
