HOUSTON - The Houston Texans have launched an official mobile application that is available to Verizon subscribers with Android and Blackberry devices.
The free app is available to download by texting the word "Texans" to 8915 or by searching for "Texans Mobile" on the Android Marketplace. Also, fans with QR code readers can scan the QR code below to download the app.
The app includes exclusive team videos, news articles and blogs, Texans Cheerleader images, a Reliant Stadium map, stats, scores, standings and much more.
"We're excited to give our fans a new and innovative way to connect with the team," Texans president Jamey Rootes said. "The proliferation of smartphones has provided a platform for us to give our fans access to Texans news and information, wherever, whenever and however they want it."
In the near future, the Texans plan to introduce the team app on Android devices on other carriers. Stay tuned for additional information.
The Texans Mobile app was developed in partnership with Verizon and Handmark.
