Texans sign free agent T Matt Kalil

The Houston Texans signed free agent T Matt Kalil. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Kalil, 29, spent the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2017-18) after five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (2012-16). He has started all 82 career regular season games and three postseason contests at left tackle, including 64 consecutive starts from 2012-15. Kalil (6-7, 315) earned Pro Bowl honors and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2012. A native of Corona, Calif., Kalil was drafted by the Vikings in the first round (fourth overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Southern California.
