The Houston Texans public relations team is usually working behind the scenes, helping players tell their stories or shining a light on accomplishments.
On Tuesday night, Texans Vice President of Communications Amy Palcic was honored for her work as one of WISE (Women In Sports and Events) Houston's 2019 Women of Inspiration. WISE Houston, a leading voice and resource for professional women in the business of sports, recognized women who achieved leadership roles in sports business, served as role models and mentors for other women and had a significant impact on the Houston community with the Women of Inspiration award.
Palcic, who joined the Texans in 2013, serves as the chief spokesperson and leads the public relations, football communications and corporate communications efforts for the Texans. She also manages the organization's relationship with the NFL's billion-dollar network TV partners. Under Palcic's leadership, the Texans PR team was selected as co-winners of the 2017 Pete Rozelle Award, recognizing the top NFL public relations team by the Professional Football Writers of America.
