History: Houston Texans vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks won the NFC West last season, going 12-4, but falling in the Wild Card playoff at home to the Rams.

Head coach Pete Carroll enters season 12 in Seattle, sporting a 112-63-1 record for the Seahawks. He and Seattle won the Super Bowl in 2013, and he's led the franchise to playoff appearances in all but two of his seasons in charge. He's the winningest coach in club history, and his all-time head coaching record in the NFL is 145-94-1 in 15 seasons.

This is just the fifth meeting between the two franchises, and Houston's lone win in the series came in a 34-7 trouncing of Seattle at NRG Stadium in December of 2009. The last meeting between the two teams was a 41-38 shootout taken by the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in October of 2017.
