The Houston Texans YMCA turns 10 years old!

Houston Texans receivers Brandin Cooks and Randall Care back at it again this Tuesday providing meals to 80 families from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Grater Houston in the Sunnyside community.

The Houston Texans hosted a Christmas Drive-thru for kids from the Houston Texans YMCA. TORO and Texans Legends Cecil Shorts III, Anthony Hill, Moran Norris and Earl Mitchell distributed toys, stockings, and gifts as well as diapers, grocery cards and clothes purchased by the Lady Texans for the families.

The Houston Texans, Chevron and the Boys & Girls Club Havard Club hosted a Drive-Thru Market Pantry – Holiday Edition! TORO, Texans Cheerleaders and Volunteers from Chevron, the Houston Texans and the Boys & Girls Club passed out groceries for the week, a large Turkey for a holiday meal and a Texans Fleece Blanket courtesy of Chevron.

Deshaun Watson donated 100 bicycles in support of the Houston Police Department's "Bikes, Ballers and Badges" Christmas event on Saturday. The purpose of this event was to partner with the professional sports teams and players affiliated with the City of Houston in order to promote unity and the spirit of giving.

Texans announced a donation of $250,000 to support the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) at Texas Children's Hospital, which works to heal patients physically and emotionally following a severe illness or traumatic injury.

The Houston Texans announced today Michael Thomas as its nominee for the WALTER PAYTON NFL MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD. Considered the league's most prestigious honor, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field. Each of the league's 32 nominees were announced today.

Last Sunday, Texans players wore custom-designed cleats in support of causes and organizations important to them.

Operation Finally Home and the Houston Texans partnered to surprise U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Stephen Netzley and his daughter Friday (Nov. 20) with the news they will be receiving a personalized mortgage-free home.

Stephen believed Lee Kirgan, vice president of project management for Operation FINALLY HOME, was in the area to meet with Stephen and his daughter before moving on to the formal interview phase. During the meeting, Stephen and his daughter were completely surprised when they heard a caravan of cars parading towards them. As decorated vehicles escorted by the Southeast Texas Patriot Guard Riders approached, representatives from the Houston Texans, Perry Homes and The Howard Hughes Corporation surprised the Netzleys with the news they'd already been selected to receive a new, mortgage-free home from The Howard Hughes Corporation and Perry Homes in Bridgeland, located in Cypress, Texas.

The Texans surprised kindergartners from Primrose School Summerwood at the Houston Food Bank when they came to donate over 500 pounds of food they had collected as part of Houston Texans Huddle Against Hunger presented by Kroger. Sign your classroom up today at here.
