• Spent four seasons (2016-19) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, appearing in 43 games (34 starts) at both left and right tackle
• Started in 12 games at left tackle as a senior in 2019 and led the team with 43 knockdowns while only surrendering one half-sack all year long, earning him second-team All-ACC honors. Helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 474.0 yards per game, which ranked second in the ACC and 12th in the nation
• Started in all 11 games his junior season in 2018 as part of an offensive line that allowed just 10 sacks on the season, which ranked second in the ACC and seventh nationally. Earned the team's Lineman of the Week honors twice during the season with five knockdowns at Eastern Carolina (9/8) and three vs. Virginia (10/27)
• Played in all 12 games as a sophomore in 2017, starting the final 11 games of the season
• Played in eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2016, including the Tar Heels Sun Bowl appearance against Stanford (12/30)

PERSONAL:

• Attended Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Mo., where he played a variety of positions, including tight end, offensive tackle and defensive end
• As a team captain in his senior season, helped lead Rockhurst to a 12-2 record and the Missouri Class 6A state championship game
• Earned first-team All-District and All-Metro honors and was named second-team All-State
• His father, Andy Heck, is currently the offensive line coach for the Kansas City Chiefs, where he's coached since 2013
• His brother, Jon, was also a four-year starter on the offensive line at North Carolina (2013-16)
