Huddle Against Hunger Scavenger Hunt at Kroger
Students from J. Ruth Smith Elementary came out to Kroger for a scavenger hunt around the store and to learn about healthy choices when it comes to food. We partner with the Houston Food Bank and Kroger on the Huddle Against Hunger curriculum filled with fun activities, recipes and more to teach kids empathy and understanding around hunger.
Mother's Day Surprise with the Boys and Girls Club
Members of the Boys & Girls Club wrote about what their mom means to them and four of the moms were invited to Kroger for a Mother's Day reception presented by Coca-Cola. Each mother received their kid's framed drawing and a gift certificate to Kroger from Tremon Smith.
2022 Charity Golf Classic
Houston Texans players, coaches and executives joined scores of charitable golfers for a day on the links to benefit the Houston Texans Foundation on Monday, May 9 at River Oaks Country Club. The 19th Annual Houston Texans Charity Golf Classic presented by your local Houston area BMW Centers raised well over $390,000 this year, contributing to the more than $37 million raised for the Houston Texans Foundation since its inception in 2002.
2022 Houston Texans Teen Club Graduation
The Houston Texans and Chevron hosted a party to celebrate the Houston Texans Teen Club members graduating from high school. Texans DB Terrence Brooks, LB Blake Cashman, WR Chris Moore, QB Jeff Driskel, TORO and Texans Cheerleaders helped hand out certificates to the grads and give out awards to the Houston Texans Teen Club members who dedicated the most time to the Chevron Market Pantry service program.

Hundreds of triathletes participated in the 2022 Houston Texans Kids Triathlon presented by Texas Children's Hospital.

2022 Houston Texans Senior Showcase
The Houston Texans hosted over 400 student-athletes from Houston-area high schools for their annual Senior Showcase. Each high school senior had the chance to show off their football skills in front of 45 colleges to earn scholarships.
2022 Small Business Boost Breakfast
The Houston Texans and Amegy Bank teamed up to host the inaugural Small Business Boost Breakfast on March 11. The Small Business Boost program was created to support and recognize local small businesses and their importance to the fabric of our community. At the breakfast, previous winners and finalists were able to join together to hear from a panel of Houston business leaders and network with other small businesses in the community.
Houston Food Bank's 40th Anniversary

Grassroots Grant Awarded to the Legacy School
Legacy the School for Sports Sciences was awarded the NFL Grassroots Grant for $250,000 from the Texans, NFL Foundation and Local Initiatives Support Corporation to help build a turf field on their campus!
Kwanzaa Celebration at SHAPE Community Center
The Texans helped celebrate Kwanzaa with Inspire Change Grant recipient, SHAPE Community Center. SHAPE was recently the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Miller Lite to support their work in the community with underserved youth. Texans Cheerleaders took part in the short presentation about Kwanzaa centered around the principal of Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) and joined kids for special activities. The Texans also provided giveaways, lunch and an ice cream truck for attendees.

Academy Sports + Outdoors and Texans delivered sports equipment to Jackson Intermediate.
2021 Chevron Holiday Market Pantry
To bring some holiday cheer to local families, Chevron and the Houston Texans supplied 200 families with turkeys, groceries and holiday gifts at the Chevron Market Pantry last week. The pantry is operated in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Houston Texans, Chevron and the Houston Food Bank. Texans Cheerleaders, Texans Legends and TORO joined volunteers and staff from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and Chevron to distribute groceries at the drive-thru pantry.
Tyrod Taylor Surprises Boys & Girls Club Members for Christmas
Texans QB Tyrod Taylor virtually visited members of the Boys & Girls Club on Tuesday. Taylor surprised the members with raffle prizes including a signed jersey, helmet and gloves, and gift cards in honor of the Christmas holiday. He cheered on the kids as TORO helped them decorate gingerbread houses he provided. This Boys and Girls Club location is one of the few clubs open for Winter Camp to serve members whose guardians are essential workers.
2021 YMCA Holiday Party
On Tuesday, the Texans hosted their annual YMCA Holiday Party at NRG Stadium. YMCA members got into the holiday spirit with a cookie decorating class before they were surprised with gifts from their wish lists courtesy of the Lady Texans. The kids were thrilled to receive toys, tablets, coats and more ahead of the Christmas holiday.
Three Families get a $15,000 Conn's HomePlus Shopping Spree
The Texans and Conn's HomePlus gave three families from the Boys and Girls Club $15,000 for a holiday shopping spree with Texans Players, TORO and the Houston Texans Cheerleaders.
Inspire Change Grant Recipient Book Donation
Texans players and Cheerleaders helped students at DeAnda Elementary School pick six books to take home and keep free of charge thanks to Books Between Kids. Books Between Kids helps to get books in the hands of at-risk students across the city and is one of the 15 nonprofits that received funds through the $400,000 Inspire Change Grant presented by the Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Miller Lite.
Houston Texans Teen Club Celebrates 5 Years
This December, the Houston Texans and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston celebrated the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Houston Texans Teen Club at their annual holiday party. The Houston Texans announced a donation of $450,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to continue our partnership as one of the Texans three strategic community partners.

The Houston Texans announced Justin Reid as the team's nominee for the 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Considered the league's most prestigious honor, the award recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field.
Tyrod Taylor visits the Boys and Girls Club to Reveal his My Cause, My Cleats
In honor of the My Cause My Cleats initiative, Tyrod Taylor spoke to a group of students at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Tyrod Taylor selected the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston as his Community Huddle group this season to receive tickets to Texans games through the Tyrod Taylor Foundation. The Tyrod Taylor Foundation supports youth development programs and he will be wearing cleats on Battle Red Day presented by Mattress Firm to showcase the cause. Each member of the Boys & Girls Clubs will be given the opportunity to decorate their own pair of "cleats" to highlight a cause and what is important to them courtesy of Mattress Firm.
2021 Inspire Change Grant Recipient Breakfast
On Giving Tuesday, the Houston Texans, ConocoPhillips, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages and Miller Lite awarded $400,000 through the Inspire Change Grant Fund to 15 local nonprofits and educational programs working to make a difference in the Houston community. The recipients were surprised at a breakfast this morning at NRG Stadium with Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, Texans players and Texans Legends. Learn more.
