2023 (Houston (16/12, 2/2):

• Started in 12 of 16 games in his second year with the Texans and notched 100 tackles (64 solo) for the first time in his career, seven tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three quarterback hits, seven passes defensed and one fumble recovery
• Started in Week 1 at Baltimore (9/10), where he sacked QB Lamar Jackson for his second career sack
• Recorded a team-high 12 tackles (five) to mark his third career game with double-digit tackles in the Week 4 win vs. Pittsburgh (10/1)
• Led the defense with 12 tackles (seven solo), one quarterback hit and one tackle for loss in Week 12 vs. Jacksonville (11/26), marking his fourth career game with 10-plus tackles and one tackle shy of his career-best of 13 (12/18/22 vs. Kansas City)
• Led the team with 10 combined tackles (seven solo) and one forced fumble in Week 14 at New York (12/10)
• Finished the AFC Wild Card game vs. Cleveland (1/13) with eight tackles (seven solo), 1.0 sack, one quarterback hit, two tackles for loss, one interception, one pass defensed and one touchdown, marking the first touchdown of his career
• Became the first player with a pick-six and a sack in a playoff game since J.J. Watt in 2011

2022 (Houston 12/11):

• Appeared in 12 games (11 starts) and finished with 74 tackles (46 solo), six tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, three quarterback hits, one interception, five passes defensed and one forced fumble in his rookie season with the Texans
• Made the initial 53-man roster but was placed on the reserve/injured list for the first six weeks
• Made his NFL and Texans debut while recording one tackle at Las Vegas (10/23) 
• Made his first NFL start and had a team-high seven tackles (five) vs. Tennessee (10/30)
• Posted a career-high and team-high 14 tackles (six) vs. Kansas City (12/18), becoming the only rookie this season to post three tackles for loss in a single game and the fourth rookie in the last 10 years to post three-plus tackles for loss and 14-plus total tackles in a single game  
• Recorded his first career interception, returning it for 20 yards, and a career best two passes defensed at Tennessee (12/24), becoming the fourth Texan rookie linebacker to record an interception
• Tallied a team-high 10 tackles (six solo), 1.0 sack (the first of his career), one quarterback hit (the first of his career), two tackles for loss and one pass defensed in the season finale at Indianapolis (1/8/23), becoming the first Texans rookie linebacker since LB Zach Cunningham (2017) to post multiple double-digit tackle games

• Played in 41 career games at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where he amassed 221 tackles (126 solo), 27.0 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, one interception, seven passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries

• Named to the Freshman All-SEC squad by the league's coaches
